Could You Become a Volunteer?

The Bracken Trust Centre

The Bracken Trust Cancer Support Centre has an amazing team of volunteers and we are now embarking on a new venture ……….  we are opening a charity shop in Middleton Street!

Are you interested in becoming a retail volunteer or gain some work experience?

  • Perhaps you have recently retired and have a few hours a week to spare or would like to be available on a relief basis
  • Perhaps you are looking to add a new skill to your CV, or
  • Perhaps you are looking for an opportunity to meet people

 

WHATEVER THE REASON…….. WE WOULD BE DELIGHTED TO HAVE YOU JOIN OUR TEAM

You must be aged 14+. No previous experience or skills are required – All necessary training will be provided.

DBS checks and references will be necessary.

There will be a range of roles available:

  • SORTERS FOR CLOTHING
  • SORTERS FOR BRIC A BRAC
  • STEAMERS
  • SHOP FLOOR ASSISTANTS

An initiative in Powys, aimed at recognising and appreciating unpaid carers across the County, as well as supporting local businesses to thrive, launches with a new uplifting look.

New digital support group for bowel cancer patients

Chat Together is our free online support group for people living with and beyond bowel cancer. It’s a welcoming place to talk to others with bowel cancer and to meet new people. It’s a chance to share experiences in a safe, supportive and informal environment.
