Grant of £8,050 received
Postcode Community Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The Bracken Trust have received £8,050 from the Trust to help fund a Bereavement Facilitator and interventions for a period of 12 months.

The Bracken Trust Cancer Support Centre has an amazing team of volunteers and we are now embarking on a new venture ………. we are opening a charity shop in Middleton Street!
Are you interested in becoming a retail volunteer or gain some work experience?
- Perhaps you have recently retired and have a few hours a week to spare or would like to be available on a relief basis
- Perhaps you are looking to add a new skill to your CV, or
- Perhaps you are looking for an opportunity to meet people
WHATEVER THE REASON…….. WE WOULD BE DELIGHTED TO HAVE YOU JOIN OUR TEAM
You must be aged 14+. No previous experience or skills are required – All necessary training will be provided.
DBS checks and references will be necessary.
There will be a range of roles available:
- SORTERS FOR CLOTHING
- SORTERS FOR BRIC A BRAC
- SHOP FLOOR ASSISTANTS

New digital support group for bowel cancer patients
Chat Together is our free online support group for people living with and beyond bowel cancer. It’s a welcoming place to talk to others with bowel cancer and to meet new people. It’s a chance to share experiences in a safe, supportive and informal environment.
