Volunteers are an essential and much valued part of our organisation.
Whether it’s fundraising in the community or working alongside staff at our centre, their contribution is vital.
In Volunteering for The Bracken Trust you will meet new friends, learn new skills, use existing skills, and be part of the team.
By donating your time and energy you will be directly helping us to help those facing a life beyond cancer.
There are a number of ways in which you can help support the work of The Bracken Trust:
The Bracken Trust quite simply could not do what it does without your support.
Every donation is appreciated and we acknowledge all contributions. We need your help to continue offering care and support to those affected by cancer.
Centre Volunteers are the first point of contact when people arrive at The Bracken Trust. They play a very important part in welcoming visitors, helping them feel at ease and offering refreshments.
Helping out in our offices: Help the office team who support the day-to-day running of the charity and help raise the vital funds we need to offer our programme of cancer support.
Volunteer to help at one of our events – Without volunteers, our fundraising events simply can’t go ahead. It’s not just the people taking part in our events who are helping those affected by cancer – YOU can too!
Gardening The Bracken Trust is very fortunate to be set in over an acre of grounds. Another vital role for volunteers is helping to maintain it as a beautiful and peaceful haven for our patients and guests.
We hold many different fundraising events during the year and are always looking for volunteers to help us out either as marshals, helping to hand out tea, putting up tables, or a myriad of other things.
Our volunteers are a vital part in making this happen and have important roles to play in the success of our events.
Join the Bracken Trust Social Committee and give anything from one hour a month upwards to help with fundraising events such as concerts, tin collections, quiz nights, or even organising events.
