Helen Davies: Senior Nurse
Helen grew up on a farm on the Shropshire / Powys border. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1991 after training at the Countess of Chester Hospital. She then gained experience working as a staff nurse at Worcester Royal Infirmary caring for people with a variety of medical and haematology conditions. Helen then spent 12 years at Ludlow Community Hospital. Helen joined the Trust part time almost 5 years ago and commenced the role of Big Lottery funded Outreach Nurse in 2011 and took up the role of Senior Nurse in May 2014.
Linda Hawkes- Nurse
Linda has been a nurse for many years and spent 33 years at Llandrindod Hospital. Having also volunteered at The Trust and been one of our relief nurses, she chose to come to us on a permanent (part time) basis instead of retiring.
Oksana Davies – Therapist
Oksana joined us in early 2009. Originally Russia, she has a Masters degree in Chemistry! Here in the UK she retrained and qualified in as a Beautician, Reflexologist and Masseuse. Alongside her work at The Trust Oksana also works at the Llangammarch Wells Spa.

Gaynor James – Fundraising and Administrator
We don’t have to describe or introduce Gaynor. EVERYBODY knows Gaynor.
Sharon Spence – Therapist
Sharon studied at Coleg Powys from 1998 to 2000, achieving a number of diplomas in holistic therapies. She has been a therapist at The Bracken Trust since 2006, offering Hot Stone Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, ‘M’ Technique and Reiki. Sharon has also recently trained to work with lymphoedema patients and is a qualified Vodder MLD Practitioner.
Wendie Kosek – Therapist
Wendy has been with us since mid-2007 – She has been a Reiki Master since 2005 and is also a certificated Bowen Practitioner. She has Diplomas in Aromatherapy, Body Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage, which she has held since 2003. Wendy also facilitates relaxation classes at The Bracken Trust.
Pamela Llewellyn – Relief Nurse
Pam has been a nurse for over 40 years, including periods at military hospitals in Germany and as an agency nurse. Here in Pon schools. She still works as a part time NHS nurse and has been involved with The Trust for years as a relief nurse, volunteer and all round joiner-in!
